Debra E. McLaughlin
Craniosacral Therapist, Certified Professional Midwife, Educator
For over 21 years Debra has been providing doula support for mothers birthing their children. Her passion for supporting birthing women and children has inspired her to pursue a varied career developing national and international programs within the SIDS and birth communities.
In 2002 Ms. McLaughlin founded Northern Lights Wellness, a clinic serving families in the Duluth/Superior area. As a craniosacral therapist, Debra works with people of all ages to help them improve their physical and emotional health and wellness. She specializes in care for pregnant mothers, infants and children. Her clinic also serves as a teaching clinic providing apprenticeship opportunities for craniosacral therapists. In addition to craniosacral therapy, Ms McLaughlin uses Reconnective Therapy techniques to help the body reconnect to information about ideal structure and function. This form of gentle energetic work involves asking the body what is needed and facilitating reconnection to the information within the client's body through resonance.
Debra McLaughlin is a Certified Professional Midwife providing care for birthing families at Health Foundations Family Health and Birth Center in St. Paul, MN.
As an educator, Debra teaches craniosacral therapy classes as well as a variety of wellness, birth and labor support classes for professionals. She has developed and presented curriculum for medical professional, midwives, massage therapists, doulas, and parents.
